Congratulations! I wondered if you were pregnant during your last video when you weren’t feeling well. Two things saved me a HUGE amount of money with my kids when they were little. Breastfeeding and cloth diapers. Oh, and making my own baby wipes. Okay, three things. I loved all three things not just for the cost savings, but for all the other benefits as well. If you’re staying home, they are not that big of a deal to do. I also think the amounts they say it costs to raise a child are inflated. Sure, if you buy everything new all the time and put your kid in every sport, class, etc. from the time they’re walking, but not if you’re frugal. Don’t worry about the money part, you guys will figure it out.

Thanks! Yes we are already planning on breastfeeding and cloth diapers. Glad to hear it worked out for you!

Oh my gosh!! So happy for you! Literally beaming right now and waltzed through the living room with my baby of 9 months. We tried to conceive for nigh on 3 years before it finally worked (when I had given up hope already).

I guess this answers my internal question of what will push me over the edge from lurkdom to commenting… You are doing tremendous work and I promote you at every opportunity. Thank you so far and all the best for you and your little one!

PS: We spent very little money upfront (now we’re spending a lot on Pampers and formula) and in hindsight we could have spend even less. You probably have enough people to talk to, but just in case you’re interested into a complete strangers 2ct, drop me a mail πŸ™‚

Congratulations! What fantastic news! I’m excited for you both to experience the amazingness that is parenthood and for all of us to see what new videos will come of this new addition. Best of luck with the pregnancy. And with kids, I find that time is way more important than money – so you’re already on the right track.

True. Although hopefully in 18 years we’ll have sorted out this overpriced college nonsense πŸ™‚
